About the event
The Season of Frost and Fire: Rebecca Beattie in conversation with Emily of Black Cat Books
Rebecca Beattie, green witch and author, joins Emily from Black Cat Books to talk about her new book, The Season of Frost and Fire: A Witch's Winter in 13 Rituals, published on 8th October.
The book follows the cold months from the first frost to the thaw of early spring, with a ritual for each stage of the season. There are fire rituals for welcoming in the winter and for easing fears on stormy nights, tarot cards to guide the darkest weeks, and forgotten goddesses to keep company with through the long evenings. Rebecca also tells old tales of shapeshifters and mist-covered places where the veil between worlds grows thin. Each ritual comes with spell crafting, storytelling or journalling prompts to help readers connect with the elements and find comfort and inspiration in nature…
